Finished working my card for an SCS Lighthouse Card swap. I just love the way the colors turned out. The stamp set I used was SU!'s A Light Unto My Path. I used SU! Crumb Cake CS for my base and to back the stamped images. I stamped the images with SU!'s Night of Navy and sponged the edges of them as well. I used a piece of Night of Navy CS as an additional layer after using my Cuttlebug to emboss the CS with the Divine Swirls CB folder.
You can't see it, but I also stamped a small seashell from the SU! set Seaside on the inside bottom right of the card to add a little something to it. Hope you like it!

new cards for you to see!!!
Hi all!! I have some new cards to show you!!!! The first one is a graduation card I made for Viv's Jessica Lynn Swap on SCS. I used the Brentwood graduation made by Jessica Lynn Original Stamps and my sentiment and ribbon is from SU! I also used some designer paper from Creative Memories. I chose to use the gold, black, and white colors because my daughter is graduating from college this year and these are her school colors. So of course I made her a graduation card while I was stamping. But don't tell her!!!!
Don't ask me why my pictures are sideways. For some reason I couldn't get them to rotate. It must be too early in the morning!!!!!
Enjoy!!!!!

Well I finally got my ribbon semi-organized. What a job that was!!! I had no idea how much ribbon I had. My hubby is threatening to call one of those hoarding shows!!! OH well!! It's looks better now anyway and
hopefully it will function better.
I've also been working on a little late Christmas gift for a friend. I got the idea from Nichole-
a friend on SCS-and decided to run with it. I just bought the purse sized 2-year Calendars from Michaels and used the inside graphics to help me to decide on a simple cover. I used some SU! paper, and embellishments from somewhere!! I found the sentiment on one the clear stamps I've had forever, but am not sure who designed them. I also used the spellbinders label #4 and some SU! Old Olive Ink to add texture to the diecute. I've already given out quite a few of these, but I'm going to show you a pic of the one I worked on today.

Wow!!
I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted anything here. Life has been nuttier than normal-both good and bad. But the good stuff is so good!!! My sweet daughter is engaged!! She got engaged back in September and the wedding is planned for Oct. 1, 2011. We've been working like mad on planning and deciding on invites. I think we finally have the design for the invitations, but I don't want to post them until we are sure. We are using a pearl shimmer trifold invite along with SU! Dusty Durango and cream paper and envies. We(I) am doing a design of clear stamping and embossing on the cover and inside as well. Then the printing will be done in chocolate brown. Then the whole thing will be folded up and tied with a burnt sienna ribbon. It's been so fun to plan.
Unfortunately that means that the other cards that I've had time to make, I simply haven't posted here because I just haven't had time. Hopefully now that we have the design, I can get back to posting my creations. We will be making the wedding invites in batches assembly line style-at least 150 of them-so that will be fun. But she is helping so it won't be too bad.
I've also been working on organizing my craft space-what a job! I decided to invest in a few clip it up organizational tools and a large clip it up ribbon organizer. What a difference that makes. I can see my stuff!!!! I'll post some pics of those too soon.
So here's the plan. I'm snowed in today-love it- so I'm going to make cards. I'll post what I get done in a little bit!!!

My friend Viv AKA Blusky presented me with a blog *ATTITUDE* award...eheheh

I'd like to recognize other blogger friends of mine with some 'Attitude' of their own...may that
be funny, caring, cheery, aggressive, spunky, all of the above, etc...make it anything your heart desires...
Ultimatly we ALL have a very creative attitude toward this wonderful 'paper hobby' of ours :o)
My 5 choices for this AWARD are the following wonderful gals :
Jeanette AKA Forest http://creativeplayischeaperthantherapy.blogspot.com/
Tami AKA blueinks http://blueinksdesign.blogspot.com/

Aprilo AKA April http://aprilsalley.blogspot.com/
Karly1020 AKA Karly http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/karlybiddison/
Part of the fun is that each recipient MUST share 3 unknown (or little known) facts about herself.
1. I always forget to send cards even though I make a ton of them!!!
2. I have a graduate degree in education, but I really do not like teaching!!!
3. I've only ridden on an airplane was in my life.

New cards today!
Isn't this the cutest kitty you've ever seen??? I just LOVE cats-have 3 of my own-4 when my daughter comes home!!!This image was a free digi from a new digital stamp company called *Wink*Wink Ink. They're on the lookout for new design team members so I decided to try out. You need to check out the website-cute images!!
I used SU! markers to color and shade the cat to resemble one of my own cats-Coco. Don't you just love the aqua colored eyes? I also like that she's holding a love letter just for me! I used a brad for a stamp to spice it up. The background is made up of different colored cardstock that has been run through my Cuttlebug and cut to fit. A little ribbon finishes it off!! Let me know if you like it! See you tomorrow!!!
Here is another one of my precious Brentwood stamps. Don't you just love the ladybug outfit????I used two layers of background paper-red and black-used the SU! edge punch on them and offset them so you could see both of them. I used Versamark and white embossing powder on the red background to spice it up a bit. Then I just colored Brentwood using SU! markers and stamped my Happy Birthday. I think it turned out very well. Let me know what you think!!!!

This is a card using my favorite stamps by JessicaLynn Original. The character is Ruby who is dressed up as a flower. I thought it was appropriate since we are all wishing for warm weather. I I also used SU! Stem sayings to stay with the outdoor theme.I placed some eyelets on the left side and threaded ribbon through them. The ribbon seems to go well with the DP.

No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth (yet), just been crazy busy with family obligations. But I've managed to put a few cards together that I think you'll like.
The first one uses a chalkboard technique-tutorial on SCS- it's very cool and easy project. Here's a picture. I just used SU! white craft ink to stamp the French script and then used my pastels and cotton balls to spread the colors in layers and blend them together. Add some ribbon and primas and you're down!!!

JLO Challenge #3
I created this card for Jessica Lynn Originals Challenge #3 on her blogspot. I used one of her adorable new Christmas Brentwood Nutcracker stamps and added texture with my Snow Dots Cuttlebug folder, SU! white craft ink, and some SU! textured paper I had laying around. I also added a couple of star eyelets to match Brentwood's star on his Nutcracker hat.
I tried to come up with a clever sentiment and decided on Have a "Nutty" Christmas!!! Yes, I know it's corny, but I thought it was cute.
I also made a set of these cards for Viv's JLO Christmas swap on SCS. Hope you like it!!!
